The most common cause is that the alarm was never switched on for that medicine. A new medicine starts with a notification only; the alarm is enabled separately:
If it still doesn't ring, check that Android isn't restricting the app in the background, under Settings → Apps → RemindMed → Battery, and choose the unrestricted option. Some manufacturers, such as Xiaomi, Samsung and Motorola, add their own "autostart" or "protected apps" screens.
Check the same battery settings above, and confirm that the alarms and reminders permission is granted under Settings → Apps → RemindMed.
Open Settings and tap Create backup. Choose a passphrase and save the file somewhere you can reach from the new phone. On the new phone, install RemindMed, open Settings and tap Restore from backup.
Two things to know before you rely on it. Restoring replaces everything already on that device — it does not merge. And the file is encrypted with your passphrase and nothing else: if you lose the passphrase, the backup can never be opened again, by you or by us, and there is no way to reset it.
Your data lives only on the device, encrypted, with no copy in the cloud. That protects your privacy, but it means that changing phones or uninstalling the app erases your history permanently unless you made a backup first. We cannot recover it, because we never had access to it.
Cancellation happens in your Google Play account, not in the app: open the Play Store → profile picture → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → RemindMed → Cancel. Access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Open the app's settings and use Restore Purchases, with the same Google account you bought it with. If that doesn't help, write to the address below and tell us which account email was used.
Uninstalling the app removes all health data from the device. For purchase records held by Google Play and RevenueCat, write to us.
